An aaya or attendant is the person who stays when everyone else has to leave for work, for rest, or for the school run. Sree Sai Home Care provides experienced bedside aayas and attendants for old age and for people who are bedridden. The shift can be a day, a night, or a full twenty-four hours with a change of person so that no one is asked to stay awake beyond what is safe.
What “experienced” means here
It means the attendant has sat through real nights in real homes. They know how to help a person to the bathroom without rushing them. They know that a wet sheet is changed immediately, not at the next convenient moment. They know how to speak to an older person who is confused at 2 a.m. without frightening them. They keep the family's instructions in view: the medicine boxes you prepared, the food that is allowed, the relative to call if something feels wrong.
A twenty-four-hour arrangement is usually two people across the day, not one person left alone until they are too tired to be useful. We agree the handover time with you. At handover, the outgoing attendant says what was eaten, whether medicines were taken, how the person slept, and anything you should know. You should not have to interview them to find this out.
Day duty and night duty
Day duty suits a home where nights are manageable and the hard work is the morning bath, lunch, and company through the afternoon. Night duty suits a home where the family can cover daylight and needs a awake person from evening until morning. Full cover suits a bedridden patient, the first week home from hospital, or a stretch when the primary caregiver is travelling.
